The site is dedicated to bringing little known facts about Black people and events into focus. It features people and events that have had a tremendous impact on our world.
A question that arises when Black History is discussed is who the information is for. The information is for all people.
For Black people, it is a source of information, influence, and inspiration. Without knowledge of our history and who we are, and what we have accomplished, we cannot become all that we are capable of.
Without accurate information, we fall prey to the mistaken believe that we are not contributing members of this great country. The fallacy that we have not contributed from the very founding of this country lingers and negatively impacts us today.
In all too many cases, we find contributions of Black people going back to antiquity and having strong influences that largely remain unknown or unpublicized.
The contributions are not limited to the United States or even the North American Continent. They go well beyond even the Mother Continent of Africa. Yet they are not widely discussed.
The very image that most people have of Black people, unfortunately this includes an alarming number of Black people, is founded on misinformation. This site is dedicated to dispelling that notion.
It is therefore necessary to put the contributions of contributing members of this society in the spotlight.
Many people are influenced by the negative impact of slavery on this country. Not knowing that Black people were making contributions well before the Civil War.
Many people have been led to believe that all White people owned slaves. Not true and most people do not know that some Black people owned slaves.
For White people, it is an opportunity to correct the impression that is left by the lack of positive information and images of Black people. This knowledge removes the stigma of working and dealing with people who because of the lack of positive information are perceived to be inferior.

Stories that show imagination
Stories that show ingenuity
Stories that show the application of intellect
Stories that show the overcoming of obstacles
Stories that reflect positively on a large segment of our population
These are stories that should be woven into the very fabric of the country, but for whatever reasons seem to have been excluded. Stories that should serve as inspiration for the excluded members of our society. Stories that should show others that we have been contributing members of society from day 1.
Inspiration is not limited to any one race and the information on this site is intended to inspire you, regardless of your race, gender or nationality.
In addition to providing information, we are hopeful that you will become interested and do additional research. To this end, we have links to additional information and web sites as well as books and other media.
